Time flies, with so many tears, smiles, diapers, Joyce is growing fast. She is
one year old. She can speak a few words, such as, xiao3 bao3 bei4, mei4 mei4,
up, down, bao4 bao4, ah-ou. She can ride her litte car, wondering in our house.
She is not a baby any more. Here

Meet Baby Joyce at one month old. Congratulations to the Qiao family.

No better way to take a break from work and studies than a picnic and hike to
the Cascades on a beautiful SW Virginia Fall day. |

Congratulations to Xiaoyan & Chengqiu (Norman) in the birth of their beautiful
new daughter. Her English name is Elaina (derivative of the Greek word for "light,"
like Ellen). Her Chinese name is Yichen, which means "one passion."

International students received furniture that was donated for the annual International
Furniture Giveaway at the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM, formerly BSU) at
the corner of Washington and Kent Streets in Blacksburg. Approximately
250 pieces of furniture to roughly 150 new international students within a period
of 4 hours. That's amazing! But that's what God has done through us in past years.
It's a great joy to see how God works through the many who come together for this
ministry.

Easter Sunday was a great day of study of the Bible, fellowship, and good
food. |

A great place to be on a Sunday afternoon downtown Blacksburg for the annual International
Street Fair. A great opportunity to sample authentic international food, purchase
handmade crafts, and experience cultural song and dance. If there's good food
around, you can count on ICF students to be close by! |

While most of the ICF students as well as "both Jays" were away at the
Discover Weekend Retreat, Sunday morning Bible study was a great time of fellowship. |

A great way to start out a New Year. A Baptism Sunday at BCF. |

A few of ICF students went to the "Florida Christmas Conference" for
international students and scholars (December 26 through January 1) in St. Petersburg
and Orlando. Here's a couple of photos ... more to come? |

Phichet Trisiripisal went home to Thailand this past summer and took photos at
the International Sunday School at BCF before he left. Thanks Phichet for sharing
with the rest of us. |

BCF International Sunday School members showed a couple of students new to the
area a great time which included much food and a hike expedition to the beautiful
Cascades waterfall in Giles county. The agenda was lunch at Kalbee's Korean Resturaunt
in 'downtown' Pembroke for starters, a hike to the Cascades (which is uphill both
ways so some say) to work off those extra pounds , then more refreshments at Dave
& Lois' to make for another great time of food and fellowship.

BCF International students and staff were joined with member of the Blacksburg
